You know the urge to know everything?
Inside us, there's this "Curiosity Infliction" that wants to find an answer to any sort of oblivious question and dig through the loopholes and finally feel the satisfaction of getting enlightened by the hidden truths of one's existence. You have it too, right? No?
We like to interact, whether it is with humans, dogs, cats or just pets and animals in general and even extraterrestrial species (oh hi Aliens! if you're reading this by any chance).
Let us narrow down these interactions to just among the humankind. We know at some point we all are a bit petrified to start an interaction with a total stranger.
Alright so as we move on to have this interaction, we start realising if this interaction is effective and if we are enjoying it and would we like to be real friends with them?
Fast forward to the situation where you are starting to know that person a bit better. And suddenly that "curiosity infliction" (already mentioned) starts hitting your intestine and you get this serious urge to know everything about this human. By everything I mean "EVERYTHING".
You want to know why they said what they said and you start reading between the lines about every action they take and how their thought process works. We often have this tendency to creep around and try to find out more about someone that we start to dig more and more, up to the extent that the person gets creeped out.
I've been called "Inquisitive" a fair amount of times and now you know the confidential reason behind the name being "The Inquisitive Lass" ;)
But sometimes we get too excited and too nosy about other people's business, that people eventually have to say "back off there curious George !".
And then you fall into a big black pit of hurt and disgust about how disrespectful people can be towards you. But as you wander along these roads of the big black pit, you get to realise something strange but interesting.
And that mere realisation is hidden in the next line you're about to read :
(Drum rolls in the background)
"Maybe somethings are better left unsaid" (Ba-dum-tss)
When you think about it.. well yeah...
It's not important to know the answer to every question. Maybe getting to know the answer, can make your life more complex and difficult to understand.
To get to know about someone a fair amount is more than enough than to actually force them to puke out every detail of their mere thought process and existence.
Everything cannot happen as per to your wish.
If it could, then Jack probably wouldn't have drowned if Rose could have given him some space to climb on that wooden plank, 'cause goddammit there was clearly a lot of space there Rose!!!!
(Okay getting back to the point)
If people want to let you know something, they will eventually let you know and if they don't want to, then respect their privacy and let go. You don't always have to push them to tell everything they have.
Sometimes you should let go of things that are out of your control! (unless you're Christian Grey and you exercise control in every field)
Beauty resides the unknown.
You should have the ability to understand certain situations and let go of this curiosity infliction at times. It's not like the universe is ending.. Or is it?
